Chris Gufford is the Chief Product Officer at nCino, a global leader in cloud-based banking solutions, where he oversees the company’s Product Development and Engineering teams worldwide. With over 20 years of hands-on experience in the banking and fintech industries, Chris brings a unique blend of domain expertise and strategic vision to every project.

Chris began his career on the front lines of banking—as a teller—before moving into roles at FIS and First National Bank of Omaha, where he developed deep expertise in credit, operations, and software. Since joining nCino in 2016, he has held leadership roles including General Manager for Commercial Banking, and in February 2025 was appointed Chief Product Officer, managing two-thirds of the company’s global workforce.

A champion of innovation, Chris is leading nCino’s AI transformation—embedding predictive, generative, and agentic intelligence into banking solutions that help institutions make faster, smarter, and more ethical decisions. Under his leadership, nCino has been recognized as one of CNBC’s 2024 World's Top FinTech Companies, supporting over 1,800 financial institutions worldwide.

Chris holds an MBA from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a BS in Finance from the University of Nebraska at Kearney
